April 25, 2013 – This week, GLE Solar has launched its new line of Direct Circulation (DC) solar water heating systems for domestic hot water applications.  The DC systems are being introduced to offer an even more efficient and cost effective solution to future customers while maintaining the same aesthetically-pleasing profile of earlier designs.  The most significant change is the integration of a third storage tank between the ICS collector units and the backup water heater, which allows the warm water to be staged appropriately for consumer use.  By using a standard electric water heater as an auxiliary storage tank instead of a solar-specific storage tank, GLE Solar has dramatically trimmed total system cost compared to competitors.
